Thomas Stirling founded Stirling Technologies in 2008 while still attending the University of Vermont as a boutique consulting firm. His experience within his major at UVM, a unique combination of business and computer science, propelled his desire to found and run a business of his own in his field of expertise. Since graduating with honors in 2010, Tom moved his business back to Massachusetts permanently, first opening up shop in Woburn before moving into Stirling Technologies’ current offices in downtown Winchester.
In 2015 Tom became president of the Woburn Business Association, which for almost 30 years, has been advocating for the businesses of Woburn. In the last few years as a board, Tom has worked extensively with the WBA in building an online member community, and developing a content strategy across social media and blogging platforms that promotes member engagement.
Tom is a former acclaimed wrestler and still likes to remain active, especially during the winter months with his passion for snowboarding. He is also extremely involved in the community: he is active within the UVM alumni, a member of the Winchester Chamber of Commerce and belongs to several local business networking groups.
